Although photography and videography are not new to me, they have taken on a different appeal since I retired. Photography provides a great reason to get out of the house, go hiking, travel, and explore the world.
So much has changed since my days of learning how to process film and use techniques like dodging and burning prints. Learning digital skills and adapting to new technologies keeps my mind engaged.
Currently, my primary interest is in photographing birds. However, they are often hard to find, and when I do spot them, they rarely sit still or cooperate with the lighting for a good pose.
I am still searching for a personal style and a distinct visual perspective in my photography.
